I used to play the physical version at arcades and I didn't play it often so my progress of getting better slowed up.
But I got it FINALLY a couple days ago and I already kill at it. haha
It's pretty cool but sometimes I don't understand how they rate your grade. haha As sometimes you will do almost perfect and get a B then sometimes you will mess up a little and get an A.

i have never played, there was a day when Kraft had the USB mats for it (i assume because on their site they have a game like DDR) and the mats were free, all you had to do was pay the $6 in shipping, so i have one of those, still have yet to unpack it though

I tried playing GH2 for xbox360, I made fun of all my buddies before I even picked up the guitar... I was like "Dane you suck", "Jason your worse then my grandpa, and hes dead!" all the mean comments I could spew out 
Well anyways, I picked up the guitar, and I hit like 4 notes out of 60. Let's just say one of my buddies took it from me before I could further humiliate myself.
In terms of DDR, hate that too 
I'll stick racing/shooter games were I am SEMI/OKAY

I had pretty much the same experience monty...
Friends made it look easy, I tried, and failed MISERABLE.
DDR too, I hate the hand-eye-coordination games.

Haha, GH2 is my favourite!
I love GH2, in terms of DDR.. meh, i'm okay at it.

haha, that's funny!
I know a little dance so it helped somewhat in terms of getting the beats down right and all. Only thing that makes me messup is you have to keep looking down at your feet on the mat as sometimes you get off the middle so when you try to hit to the back then you miss.
So that kinda sucks...
That happens rarely though as I look down every chance.
