Very true, IPB has alot of Social-Networking type features, but if I'm right vB will be adding some of these. But hopefully they are smart and make them optional since vB tends to be used for more professional websites.

Can someone break down a compare chart for both? I really dont want to pay for a forum software, but if its really good, I might.

I like VB, I've been very expressed by them. Also, I don't see a lot of IPB users. Is there an issue with IPB that prevents people from choosing it? Is it expensive? Personally, I'm running PHPBB 3.0 RC5 in all of my forums.
