I think it's like software, seen it before, you should really research it more... eg; the software, get more details

Sounds like a good guess... it's either fake, or terrible quality likely. You should link us to this auction, or just ask the seller questions about how it works.

i have seen websites that offer enough international channels for this to be semi beleivable

but, i am pretty sure that current satellite hardware doesnt exceed the 3 digit channel mark

so any hardware that could do this is probably highly illegal and finding legal software alternatives doesnt look too promising as that would require proper licensing for use of the feed from each channel

i wouldnt count on it being true

Do post the link. I'm also curious. I've heard of the the free over the air thing. It's not illegal yet. Some companies have built satellite receivers and they can get all the channels of Dish and Directv. It's not illegal because it's over the air, like radio or broadcast TV. Now hacking into a "Dish" receiver is illegal, but if you buy one of these other receivers then it's legal right now. I'm sure it may end up outlawed before long. It'll be hard though, because having TV over the air whether it be satelllite or antenna, is the same as Radio. If you don't want it watched or listened to, then don't broadcast it.
