Personally I like toshiba, I got a good buy on one of their laptops. Satellite with 512MB RAM, 40GB HDD, Radeon Intergrated, $600! (This was a while ago)

At the time is was a very god buy, I'm still quite pleased with it.

I look forward to seeing more reviews!
