Would you buy a MacBook Air if you have the money?

I'm not sure if I would buy it I would have to see it. It looks really skinny and nice but I don't know I just wouldn't want to get a laptop that was too light as I would think it would make it easier to break.

I would probably have a better knowledge if I had seen it as like the iPod Touch it looked really neat but when someone showed me theres the touch features and the tilt features seemed to be the only thing that made it very cool. It then made me think it wasn't worth the extra couple hundred dollars.

probably true at that price...

Is it what I read that there is no CD-Rom player in the AIR. You have to have a separate external player?

That's right. You can either use an external drive, or "borrow" the drive of a nearby PC or Mac via your wireless network.

I don't neccessarly like the whole needing a new hard-drive to run CDs either.

I was able to take a look at it first hand last weekend its nice but it needs a CD-ROM player.

Like in VMWare Fusion, we were unable to install Windows XP without having physical drive. Using shared drive won't work.
