Did you guys hear the rumor about Microsoft releasing a XP SP3?

Someone made a funny comment about how come Microsoft is still trying to update XP when they just released Vista and aren't encouraging people that much to upgrade to Vista if they keep upgrading XP.

haha yupp, they are retarded. but it's going to be the last one. Vista is having a sp1 coming soon as well

Yea, I would think they would just get the last XP one our ASAP and get it over with so people would start buying Vista. But I guess it is good they take their time and do it right.

I haven't heard about it yet, but I'm not suprised. Although they have released Vista, a lot of Business users still rely on windows XP. For example, I order business pcs from HP for my employees, and they are all XP standard. I don't like Vista, and neither do my employees, so I just stick with them. Most personal, home laptops will come with Vista, but the business ones don't. I would assume that microsoft is still supporting the business customers. Also, Microsoft hasn't issued the end of support statement for XP yet.

Yea, plus it would cost for each license of the Vista and then it would have to be re-configured on the server which would take quite a long time I bet many will wait until Vienna to come out and switch to Vienna or just switch to Vista then.

I dont know about you guys but i do have the XP SP3, I use it and dont like i much. It is a bit heavy version with the Theme of Vista included in it and having some tools upgraded in it. But it s not that good at all.
