I've have new new Ocean for a few weeks now. Ok, really...Probably one of the best movesI've ever made [in regards to wireless] was to buy the new Ocean and sign up with Helio. I've been more that impressed with customer service and the device itself is freaking sweet...
However, just a question I was hoping other Ocean users could help me with...I've got my email all set up. I use gmail and have enabled POP's and everything. I can manually check my email buy using "send/res eave" however, I was wondering if there was a way to have the phone atomatically "alert" me when I have a new email?
Anybody know this? Please repost if u do...

I think what you want is a push email. POP can be check on intervals setting only, so it will only grab an email when you check on the server. So i dont think there is any push email alike on it yet.

In most cases it isn't until the provider is able to come up with an application to fit a need like that. You can possibly contact them and see what they say. But I'm not a Helio customer so I wouldn't know but just stating the norm.

Makes sense...Still love the Helio Ocean, just thought having a "push" email set up would make the phone even more functional.
