Yes... it would be.

Like... you need a computer to connect to! Like.. okay EVERYTHING is stored on the remote computer. But... you still need to connect from something write? The PC only makes a connection, not receives one.

Get what I'm saying?

Nope... if you want to know what tool you use to connect simply type "mstsc" in run.

If you have 2PCs set up remote desktop on one.. it's essentially the same thing except you could access it anywhere...

If you want me to get you a deal on one, pm me.

the best configuration is clustered servers hehe but its way to expensive for anyone to afford it.. companies like google yahoo microsoft etc have hosting like that and also some very very big sites.. Multiple servers connected each other so as to provide the best performance.. thats the best for me..

Xserve or a mac pro with the server version of OSX on it.

i know there are better products hardware wise out there, but i cant imagine the support from Apple being anything short of stellar.

My real "Ideal" would be, my own data center, forget just one server, lets just get the whole caboose going! Seriously though, real tough question - this one I will need to think about for abit.

If it's strictly limited to hardware, then I would want a mainframe! A super server! To go with that server, I would want all of the necessary software and an un metered and an OC-192 dedicated line! If you are going to dream, dream big!
