... we could arrange something :)
However, we don't do vista (impractical, silly expensive) we do win2k3 though... which is a version of windows. You can install all your own software and stuff. Just connect through remote desktop.
PM me if your interested.

I've PM'ed you regarding the situation. Sounds good.
In terms of technology, what server platform are you using to host Win2K3 VPS?

Well, tbh with you. You wouldn't notice a difference. Not for what your using it for...
What do you want to use it for?

I would truely just like to use it for basic functions like to hold documents and stuff. For me to be able to like do work from any computer and be able to run programs. But was never sure if it was even possible to do...

Yes it's very possible. Win2K3 would work fine if you didn't install any server software... if your honestly interested I could give you a decent monthly price. PM me.

Yes, win2k3 without the server software... is like XP. Just lighterweight. Hmm, in terms of office, just install OpenOffice!

Okay basically. It's like having a server... it would be a VPS (Virtual Private Server) installed on a hardware node (very powerful server).
You could use remote desktop to connect to it... and it can either take over your screen (full screen) or a part of it. And it's like a remote desktop... exactly that. Just like another PC. Accessible from wherever you can use remote desktop (most places)

So I would need to have a computer that it could connect to? The server wouldn't be able to be the server and have the files installed locally onto it?
