How do you edit your digital photos? What program do you use to edit them?

I love to take pictures with my digital camera, I just have problems finding something both good quality and cheap to edit them with.

I love Photoshop but it is SOOO EXPENSIVE!

I wish I could find something just as nice but cheaper I mean they need to make a cheaper version for households or something. Most households budgets don't have $600 for a license.

I'm with you Ty, I don't use anything other than Photoshop. It is expensive, and I understand that most people can't shell out that kind of cash. I've not personally used Photoshop Elements, but I've heard it isn't bad. Also for the Mac user iPhoto isn't supposed to be too bad.

Adobe would make more for home users if they made a limited version of some type where only the main features are available but then again most people that want photoshop have used it before and wouldn't like having the limited features.

Have you ever tried Photoshop Elements Ty? I believe that is exactly what they were going for with that software.

Photoshop Elements is supposed to be an easier version of Photoshop. It has less advanced features, and more common easy to use features. It's also cheaper. A friend of mine is getting it, and I'll see if she likes it!

Okay, great. I heard just today that it hasn't been working out for someone I talked to but I would like to get a few peoples opinions just because it is $100 and don't want to buy something that wouldn't really live up to what I'm looking for. Too bad their isn't an open source project that is trying to do the same purpose of Adobe Photoshop as that would be FUNNY!
