Yep... most Cellular Providers to a "number@sms.provider.com" type of thing... email2sms gateways.

Yes, I set one of those up for my old hosting company... sms on all new tech support tickets 
Dramatically reduces waiting time for customers.

Okay, I know many build in their own SMS gateway but not all providers have the SMS gateway available. At least the email address option.

Mine doesn't Cricket, many of off named ones don't but of course. T-Mobile, Cingular, Verizon more than likely do. But if you go to like AIM and their SMS gateway they are very picky on what providers and phones can have that happen.

Your forgetting that teleflip does it for ALL providers, for free.

I have actually never heard of them but I'm checking into it now. I'll be surprised if it works for me as Cricket is very picky at the networks it lets us use.
