I mean is anonymous not just a front for mafia or organized crime which can be seen as extremely unethical. What surprises me is we are finding surveillance apartments outside of their jurisdiction like that of the NYPD in New Brunswick. Look at the whitey bulger issue and the FBI. The FBI sat back as he killed people and then hid him from the public saying they didn’t know where he was and it became a political issue. The last reporter to say anything about illegal FBI wiretaps was killed. That really says something. There is a difference between wiretaping to prevent crime and wiretapping to give your drug cartel mafia friends a good laugh.

Many actually work in security, finding vulnerabilities in systems to help make them more secure.

So you’re attitude is pretty much a insult to most hackers to lump them all under one group.

Hackers are individuals too, just like everyone else and very few of them actually fit the stereotypes.
