Ford unveils 2013 F-150 with MyFord Touch

Ford has updated its popular F-150 for 2013, adding some new enhancement options, including its MyFord Touch system for voice, steering-wheel, and LCD touchscreen controls. The company's top-selling pick-up truck is also getting some minor exterior tweaks, such as a new grill design and HID headlamps.

The new MyFord Touch system for the F-150 appears to be slightly tweaked for easier use even with work gloves on. It offers more hard buttons instead of touchscreen buttons to make basic controls, such as climate, volume, and track controls easier to get to. The system is only available on the Lariat, Platinum, King Ranch, and the new Limited trims.

Additionally, all F-150s at the XLT trim level and above get SYNC, a Bluetooth-driven voice control system for phone and audio. Other new options include 18-inch and 20-inch wheel choices, power-telescoping steering wheel, power-folding trailer-view mirros, a new Alcantara seat trim on some FX versions, and HID headlamps. Pricing isn't available yet, but the new F-150s are expected to go on sale in late summer.
