Hybrid technology going bite when these vehicles get 10 years and older range.  Secondary makert is where working people can afford a car, Batteries on these things are expensive as heck.  Dealer prices to repair these things will take people to the cleaners.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[I wonder if the hybrid share of the total market is limited by the hybrid price premium. The extra cost isn&#039;t worth it for everyone. 
When the Escape Hybrid first came out it was definitely worth it for people who did a *lot* of driving, especially stop-and-go. It paid for itself quickly.
Higher gas prices would make hybrids worthwhile for more people.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[The author basically regurgitated whatever Ford said, without even looking up what a 9% increase in market share means for Ford. A quick search shows that Ford jumped all the way up to 16% of the hybrid market. Toyota (the Prius) dropped down to 60%.


I&#039;m not slamming Ford. They are doing great in a market practically owned by Toyota. But the &quot;reporter&quot; was sloppy at best.]]></description>
