Ford adds new features to Sync hands free system for free

Not long ago I bought a new Ford Mustang that came with the Microsoft Sync system and it is honestly one of the best features of the entire car. The system is a hands free Bluetooth system for my mobile phone, but it is also so much more than that. You can control the media system of the car and get directions all using your voice.

Ford has announced that it is adding new features to Sync for owners of Ford vehicles. The coolest part about the new features is that Ford is adding them at no cost. The new Sync features are for users of the Sync cloud-based app Traffic, Directions, and Information (TDI) app. This gives the driver access to things like stock quotes, movie listing, horoscopes, airlines, hotels, and rental car companies using their voice.

The new features are available to Sync TDI users with no fees and no software updates are needed. TDI is offered for all 2010 and 2011 ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles that have Sync without fees for the first three years the vehicle is owned. The movie listings feature is cool; it will find theaters near you and offer movie times for the same day or two days in the future. The video below shows a few of the new features in action.
