Forcy adds 3D touch gestures to any jailbroken iOS 9 device

One of the coolest things about the new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus smartphones is the slick 3D touch gestures. Those 3D touch gestures are part of iOS 9 but they only function on the latest iPhone devices such as the 6S and its larger 6S Plus brother. If you have iOS 9 on your older iPhone and don't mind jailbreaking it, you can get an app called Forcy.

Forcy is an app that only works for jailbroken device because you have to download it from the Cydia BigBoss repo. Once installed the Forcy app gives you 3D Touch inspired gestures on any iOS 9 device.

The app landed shortly after the new iOS 9 jailbreak. With the app, installed users get Home screen app icon shortcuts like iPhone 6S users. Forcy has no configuration necessary, the user only needs to swipe up on a compatible home screen icon.

There are a bunch of compatible cons like Messages, Calendar, Camera, Clock, Safari, and many more. Forcy relies on the swipe gesture for its shortcut menus and has a look that is similar to 3D Touch. Another key feature of 3D Touch that Forcy lacks is haptic feedback, something that makes the 3D Touch on the new iPhone 6S a standout. Watch the video below to see how Forcy works.
