David Fletcher, a renowned custom furniture maker, has spent years developing a unique table that is truly an extraordinary work of art and engineering. The Fletcher Capstan Table, as it is called, expands magically in size when rotated. Well, its not exactly magic, but rather ingenious design and precise engineering, but it sure is mesmerizing to watch. Just watch the video after the jump and you’ll know what I mean.

All Captan Tables are custom designed and built to suit your needs. Existing tables can seat six persons when small, and twelve or more when expanded. Special materials are also selected to suit your conditions, such as extra resistant materials for harsh marine environments. Given all this high quality details, we can expect just as a high a price tag.
