It is said that the expected life span of the xBox 360 is 6 months to 1 year. Statistics suggest this to be true. The Life of the System platform is expired. Now lets look at teh PS3, Expected life of the product and now just being utilized to 90% power, is 2017 as of now, with increasing sales profits from here on out. Defective Rate below 20% manufacturing. Abuse Defective rate is 35-40% down from xBox 360 75%. Price $300 broken into 3 parts to properly Price the system with the averge Blueray costing about 350 for a decent one.. 50 cheaper, and being the best Blueray still on teh market. Game system portion 100 bux, Media player 100 Bux, Blueray 100 bux Steal. Saved money 400 in total profits easy. xBox 180 for a Game system. Hmm All xBox games are on teh PC, so no reason to have a xBox. wow the list goes on.

So why would you want to be caught owning a Time Bomb? with the Average buyer spending adn replacing 4 of them? A system with games is gold, but a system that has games but doesn’t work is worthless!!

PS3 sold more than XBOX 360 in the year 2008. Everyone who looks at sales reports seems to know this. PS3 gets bad publicity because of the month of November. One month does not beat a full year. Study something before you post it online, it only encourages more stupidity.

As for the case mod –

It looks like he did give it some effort, the light is definitely cool. Why he only used a 20GB HDD I have no idea, why not put in a 60 or 100 GB even. But I agree with the fact that something is running on a 9 volt battery….only way to keep it from overheating :)

Got that right.

Man, it looks like he used a chainsaw and tin snips while being blindfolded. I’m all for cool game machine/computer modding, but this isn’t a good example. This is a mickey mouse job at its finest and should be an example of what not to do to people who may be interested in making one themselves.

Maybe his next one will look better after he buys some decent tools and gets some experience with them.
