First Underworld screenshots show that Lady Croft is still looking good

Tomb Raider is a series that I've actually thought was dead several times. I really enjoyed the early iterations of the franchise, however, I've skipped the last few titles. The issues in The Angel of Darkness made me hesitant to pick up the subsequent titles. I'm thinking that it's about time to forgive and forget, and these tasty new screenshots from the upcoming Tomb Raider Underworld make me think that it's the perfect time to give Ms. Croft another chance.

The screenshots show us that Laua Croft is looking just as good as ever, and slightly more proportionate than she's been previously depicted. Unlike previous Tomb Raider games, Underworld will feature a more interactive world that will leave dead enemies where they were killed, and things like footprints and mud will be washed away in a realistic fashion when she encounters rain. If you blow something up, plan on it staying that way. Sure, this isn't the first game to utilize these ideas, but it will be a welcome change to the series.

At last check we should expect Underworld to hit stores sometime in Q4 of this year. Expect it to show up on all six major platforms (PC, PS3, PS2, Xbox 360, Wii and DS).
