First players finally collect every World of Warcraft achievement

One of the best/worst things about an MMO is the fact that there's not really a way to "beat" the game. Sure, you can reach the max level, beat all the dungeons and raids, and collect the best gear. But there's no real ending. Well, two players have come as close as possible to actually beating World of Warcraft, if there is such a thing.

A while back, Blizzard introduced achievements into WoW. This was actually a pretty fun addition, as it gave players something else to work on, other than beating dungeons, leveling up, and collecting gear. Of course, with a game as expansive as WoW, there were a lot of achievements to keep everyone busy. So many, that virtually no one has been able to complete them all. However, two players have beaten the final boss, so to speak, and earned each and every achievement in the game.

There are currently just over 2500 achievements in the game, not including older ones that can't be obtained any longer, and feats of strength. Some of these achievements involve collecting every single mount (300 of them), every toy (250 of those) and a host of others. Accomplishing these things takes countless hours. I know I've spent dozens of hours just trying to get one single mount, so I can't even imagine how long it took them to get all 300, in addition to everything else.

The most depressing part of this is that those that have managed to pick up all of the achievements will only hold this title for a few months. Come September, they will have a host of new ones to collect, with the release of Legion.
