It appears that the first videos of the upcoming Guitar Hero III game have been leaked. The videos aren’t very good quality, but the game is still in development, so it’s forgivable.

You’ll notice that the interface has been revamped. This is no doubt due to the fact that Harmonix is not on this project, and didn’t let the new guys from Neversoft take a peek at their code. I’m all for change though, and while I’m sure it will take some time to get used to, I think it could be a change for the better.

I especially like the counter that pops up and lets you know how long your current note streak is. It’s more for the people watching than the player, since you generally don’t look away from what you’re playing for very long. The multiplier number stands out very well, though I’m not sure what I think of the star power meter. What do you guys think?
