2.jpgApple decided to trash another old-timer from its new line of computers, like the floppy drive Apple will discontinue the PCMCIA port from its MacBook computers, replacing the old port with an ExpressCard port. As a result many PC manufacturers will follow the trend and dump their PCMCIA support too, and the first product for this new port will be a Memory Card Reader from Buffalo, the MCR-4/EX card reader will handle MMC, SD and Memory stick Pro/Duo Memory cards. At a retail price of $26 it’s a good investment if you consider the higher transfer rate.
