First-ever Transformers Fan Experience rolls out 20 June

Die-hard fans of Transformers, especially those who stuck with it through the thick and thin of the latest films, have much to celebrate. Not only will the latest film soon be projected on the big screen, but franchise holder Hasbro will also be holding the first ever Transformers Fan Experience at Universal Studios Hollywood to flood fans with Transformers props, products, events, and anything else to indulge their loyal fans.

The event, which will be held on June 20, coincides with two events close to the hearts of Transformers fans: the start of the annual BotCon at Pasadena, which this year will be held from June 20 to 22, and the premiere of the fourth instalment of the new films, Transformers: Age of Extinction. Naturally, the event will be a chance for fans to get up close and personal with props used in the film, including the new trailer form of Optimus Prime as seen in film.

But Tansformers Fan Experience won't just be about the film, as it also caters to those who still remember the golden age of the franchise. Performing live is EMMY-award winning Stan Bush. For those who might not have heard of him, at least in relation to Transformers, he performed the song "The Touch" that was used to great effect in the Transformers: The Movie animated film in 1986. And to bridge the old and the new, Hasbro will be inducting new members to the Transformers Hall of Fame, which includes both fictional characters like Optimus Prime and Megatron as well as real-life personalities like, of course, Michael Bay.

For those who prefer a more hands-on experience, there will be panel discussions and workshops conducted by the Transformers brand team. Those attending the event will also get exclusive after-hours access to the acclaimed thrill ride Transformers: The Ride 3D, which puts viewers in the middle of the epic battle between Autobots and Decepticons over the last remaining Allspark shard. And finally, park goers will be able to pose and take photos with popular Transformers characters such as Optimus Prime, Megatron, and the crowd-favorite Bumblebee, of course in their Michael Bay incarnations.

The price for all of these is only $75, which they can buy here, well below a regular park day pass. Fans who will be coming to partake of the celebration will be able to gain access from 3 p.m. until the park closes at 8 p.m. Of course, those fans will also be able to get on the 3D ride well up to 11 p.m. A lanyard and a free limited edtion poster will also be available to commemorate this first-ever fan event.
