Yeah, you are totally correct. Google introduced that crappy version system with no reason at all but propaganda. I think Mozilla developers should have more dignity and integrity than to follow Google in every step. I would also like to see better way for distributing updates. Why can updates be isolated in certain "dlls/.so" files instead of updating everything. It could help to keep extension "api" same so it is possible to update firefox internals without breaking extensions; at least in some degree.

Agreed. Chrome gained a lot of traction and then suddenly it was like Chrome 13... 14... 15... and to a non-tech savvy type, they'd say "Firefox 4.0? But Chrome is at 57. Clearly it's better."

The rapid release system is horrible. I typically have issues with about half the releases because plugins and other software cant keep up with Firefox's releases. When FF or the maker of the plugin finally solves the issue, a new release is made and new bugs come into play. I get that we are trying to push HTML 5 and such as we do with all tech, but I would rather have a more stable Internet experience then gimmicks that annoy me. Sadly, none of the main browsers out there seem to get this and all have their faults. Besides, who actually enjoys designing and programming for IE?

Remember a time when version numbers meant something? They came with substantial updates, and new features.. I do.. I think we can thank Google with their ridiculous version system and Mozilla following suit.
