Final Fantasy III slated for PC

After making its way to the PSP and Nintendo DS, mobile devices, and even the Ouya, Final Fantasy III will be making its way to the PC. The information comes from a leaked rating for the game by Germany's USK, which lists the system the game is destined for as "PC".

There's not much more information beyond that — when it will arrive wasn't detailed on the leaked rating card, and there's no official word on the game. If a rating is in place, it is reasonable to assume we'll be seeing an official launch in the near future.

The game is rated for ages 6 and up, which was designated at the beginning of the month. It is listed as a multi-lingual game, but when it will launch in the US is up for speculation. When it does arrive, it'll follow in the footsteps of FF7 and FF8, among others.

In case you missed it, we reported last week that Final Fantasy XIV progress transfers from the PS3 to the PlayStation 4 kicked off, making it easy to migrate to the latest-generation Sony console. Check out the timeline below for other Final Fantasy news.
