FEZ PS4 release imminent: PS3, PS Vita in tow

The most pixel-filled adventure of a one-player game ever produced by the folks at Polytron is nearly ready for PlayStation 4, PS3, and PS Vita. With a March 25th release date, we're ready for this Blitworks-ported title to come on quick. It's been a long time in the making, after all, the game's original launch occurring well over a year ago.

Like you'll see in our recent review of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, a game doesn't have to break all graphics and gameplay barriers at once to be an excellent title. The team behind FEZ understand this implicitly. They've worked with Blit to port this game with C++ for a full native resolution run on PS Vita as well as 720p and 60 frames per second on the PlayStation 3.

The PlayStation 4 version of the game is what Polytron Producer Marie-Christine Bourdua says is "the best-looking and smoothest FEZ experience you can get on a TV set." FEZ will be delivered to the PlayStation 4 with 60-fps and full 1080p resolution.

These versions of the game – the full lot of them – are essentially the same as they were in the original delivery. New elements include full cross-platform saving of games as well as red/cyan 3DTV support for the PlayStation 4 – we'll believe it when we see it!
