This attempt violates every natural law known to man, your own body and its cells are not drugs, they are your property. The only reason, the FDA is doing this is to allow drug companies to profit from your own healing immune system! Outrageously, the FDA cannot even regulate food, and this is highly unethical. FDA, your not in control of my body.

What an utterly ridiculous case to try and make. I feel that should have tried for a different method of control. The implications of their argument are too ridiculous and no self respecting judge would ever let that fly. They could argue next that when a person crosses the border they are transporting drugs and have to go through the bureaucracy attached.

One would think that the Vagueness Doctrine which falls on criminal laws could somehow apply here. If the legislation delegating authority to the FDA that is so extensive that it would lead to arbitrary prosecutions of those that use their own bodily cells in a medical treatment then they should be void due to vagueness.

If you want stem cell treatments to come sooner than later, we have a vested interest to spread the news through twitter, facebook, other forums, comments on news articles, or just simply spreading the news through word of mouth. Tell them that the FDA is doing all of us a great disservice. Why, because stem cell treatments would be such a leap from today’s medical diagnostics and treatments; it could only be called revolutionary. Delaying adult stem cell therapies for 15 to 20 years will cost in terms of morbidity and mortality billions of dollars in medical expenses and not to mention, the patients’ own rights to use their own stem cells. SPREAD THE NEWS! Autologous adult stem cells from your own body without any ethical issues have the potential to cure stroke patients, diabetes, Parkinson, Alzheimer’s, autism, cerebral palsy, macular degeneration, muscular dystrophy, cancer, and the list goes on and on. Right now, the suspicion is big pharma wants to protect their drug sales, considering the FDA board members are ex-pharma executives.

This is ridiculous. Where are the pro-choice people on this issue? It would seem that if gov’t has no right to say when a woman can terminate her pregnancy, then gov’t shouldn’t be allowed to determine if I contribute stem cellss to ease someone’s suffering.

The stem cells they are calling “drugs” are taken from one part of the body and injected into another part to assist the part to repair and heal. The FDA should not have any authority to regulate something that belongs to an individual, not adulterated and not used on any other person. Does the FDA call Invitro Fertilization the creation of a new drug? This action seems to reinforce the increasing skepticism of our population about our government and political corruption…it defies common sense.

Insulin is a drug that “exists in every living human” and no one freaks out about its regulation. I don’t believe they should classify stem cells as drugs, but I do believe they should regulate them. Perhaps call it Food, Drug, and Foreign Therapeutic Organism Administration? That would allow them to regulate stem cell injections and vaccines but not regulate people getting infections or having stem cells.
