Surprisingly, I like Facebook’s Timeline feature. And yes, I will most certainly complain about Facebook’s privacy something or other when the kindling catches fire.

It is absolutely *not* live everywhere. I go to the Timeline introduction page, and there is no “Get it Now” button. Just “Cover”, “Stories” and “Apps”. The 4th panel is blank. Seems like bullshit to me…

Rubbish. What does that have to do with privacy? SO they switch the lay-out of things, but that doesn’t mean your information is any more or any less private than it was before. I hate to hear ignorant people making accusations when they don’t know half of what’s really going on. Your ‘stuff’ was always there, except it would just take longer to access because of the constant scrolling.

If your privacy options were set correctly from the start, you would never have issues about too much info getting exposed to the public.

That looks pretty awesome by I can’t help but being skeptical. I’ve had too many security issues happen on Facebook to expect that I’ll be able to keep certain photos/ updates from some ‘friends groups’ and visible to others. Hopefully they’ll prove me wrong.

See, this is a perfect example of how Facebook does privacy wrong. You have seven days to opt out whereupon, if the user hasn’t done so, it goes live. What if you post remotely, or you’re on vacation, or simply don’t spend every waking moment on Facebook? Your stuff goes live. Facebook seems not to understand the concept of “opt-in” when it comes to sharing. It’s like it hired executives from the old CBS Record Club to create its opt in/out policy.
