Say whatever you want, but the poll shows that a great majority of people dont like the new interface. For starters: the old interface was more of a timeline than the new one. Everything in chronological order, not split in categories and media types thrown all over the place.

Cover photo: waste of space. Is it so difficult to give me the option of using this feature or not? Just make a button "turn cover photo off" and just put my info at the top of the page?

U know whats irrirating about Facebook, for a modern, progressive and "social" company... they are very keen on doing whatever they heck they please. It's almost like they try not to listen to their users abd developers. Make it easier to integrate with other social media, make it easier to add people to different groups/lists. Make it easier to control who can comment on posts/pictures, how about a dislike button? What about all those spam apps that post updates and even personal messages to users? What about a better Android app indeed. Why is the chat feature so basic?

Listen to ur user base for once FB! I must say, I have a Google+ account and I dont use it that much. I prefer + but fb simply has more users. But one thing I gotta give Google: at least with them I feel like something is being done with complaints and feedback from users.

In response to Guest: "Here's why on the Timeline. It's not the actual presentation format; it's the content. As the article said, you will have to select privacy with every single post you send. Otherwise, it will post to your public wall. It's way too easy to forget to click something. you should be able to set a default that keeps posts private unless you specifically want to make it public. Same with photos and other information you generate. In my case, I've been off of Facebook for two years now, just to stay on the safe side with employers. "

Actually, that's not correct. You've been away from FB for two years, so you don't know how it works anymore. If you go to Privacy Settings, there's a section on the bottom that says "Limit the audience for past posts" where you can click "Manage Past Post Visibility," then "Limit Old Posts," then "Confirm." This will make all of your past posts marked as private, so only people who you are friends with can see it.

As for future posts, under Privacy Settings, in the middle of the page, is "Control Your Default Privacy," which you can easily switch to "Friends."
