Also, exclusive or premium content is the necessary draw to coax a paid subscription. The primary function of Facebook has little to offer for sale. Advertising built the Television networks and I see no reason for Social Media to be any different. It might be interesting to see “Facebook discount” pricing associated with the ad content as well or associated online services. I would prefer to see internet businesses thrive as long as we (America) are hell-bent on making this Capitalism thing work. The obvious area of growth in our economy is the internet, the great facilitator of all things social and all things commerce.
