I wish I knew more details... Has she been fired for refusing to show her Facebook page, or for refusing to provide her login credentials. There's a difference.

Providing her logon credentials is against the EULA, which she agreed to when she signed up for Facebook. Thus, if she were to provide her login credentials to anyone (including her employer), she would be violating her word. Pure and simple, it would make her a liar, since she made an agreement with Facebook that she would not reveal this info to anyone.

That makes it a religious issue. And it is against Federal law to fire a person for their religious viewpoint or practices. Being honest and standing by your commitments is a very reasonable and sincere belief that does not tread on the rights of others.

If her issue does in fact have a religious component, I would like to case precedent established that an employer (or the Federal Government, for that matter!) cannot cause harm to a person because they excersized their religious beliefs.

Arbitration? Lame.

Why not take this to the federal courts, let it go through the usual rounds of appeals, and let the Supreme Court issue a ruling? There's definitely a strong case for a federal question to be raised.
