That doesn’t make much sense. In theory, the more Google gets into the phone business, the more ‘Appley’ they can become. Once they exclude everyone else from making phones and tablets, and control all the software and hardware (and thus stop people making crap that dilutes the Android brand), they will be much more able to level the playing field.

Of course, that might not happen at all.
