I do pretty much all of my writing on my laptop. That way I can write from the comfort of my couch, or wherever I happen to be. While I don’t generally have any problem with a lack of USB ports, or any other ports for that matter, some people need more. That’s why something like the ExpressCard Docking Station is good to have.

The Docking Station has four USB ports, DVI, VGA, and Gigabit Ethernet. It also has jacks for front, rear, and center speakers, and mic and S/PDIF jacks. This is great for people that don’t have a desktop computer that they use at home or work. Personally, I have my PC for playing WoW. That’s good, since this dock needs an ExpressCard slot, which my MacBook doesn’t have.

This dock is pretty expensive at $300. If you’re just going to use this at your desk, you could almost buy a cheap desktop for that price.
