Oh, he must also think his collection of rare and pricey cars needs to be beefed up. I just hope he gets his deposits back after Oracle loses this battle. 

Actually, what’s probably going to happen is Google will lose at least one patent suite and be forced to pay a few million in damages. The lawyers will probably take 80% of that. I’m just curious if Google will be forced to pay royalties on anything….

Taking a “harder line” on 3rd party java implementations would in no way have saved them, (The clean room implementation of a compatible product has LOOONG been recognized as a legal and healthy market practice) and would have been out of character.
