If you’re looking for a UMPC that will last more than a couple hours, you should check out the aptly-named EVERUN from RAON Digital.

The new EVERUN sports a 4.8-inch 800×480 screen that automatically switches between portrait and landscape modes when rotates. It is powered by an AMD Geode processor and has built-in 802.11b/g wireless, Bluetooth 2.0 and an optional HSDPA/Wibro modem. Battery life? It’ll last you all day, 12 hours with the large battery, 7 hours with the smaller one.

It does not appear to have a touchscreen, but there is an optical touch mouse that is built into the unit. Though one of the pictures shows either a stylus or an antenna sticking out of the top. These will be available in the Korean market in June for around $700.

I would love one of these pretty fancy even though they don’t have great battery time could be useful on the go when you don’t have a socket.
i like the battery life, the processing power is pretty weak though
really with UMPCs they fit in a market that is right in between laptops and PDA’s/Smartphones, so when their usefulness tips one way or the other it makes it a harder decision
i mean, the sony UX umpc and the samsung q1 have great functionality and decent processing power, but little to no battery life, only differentiating themselves from a tablet PC by size
and this has the power and features of a newer PDA but with Windows XP installed and a size increase due mainly, i assume, to a larger battery to allow it to run for 12 hours, but yet still lacks the convenient touchscreen of a PDA
cell phones are taking over, shopping around, i am seeing that most of the newer high-end cell phones do everything i do on my laptop or desktop short of playing games, recording tv, and storing massive amounts of movies, music, and pictures
still wish i could have a vaio UX though
