Epson VS400 projector offers 4,000 lumens for $999

Epson has unveiled a couple cool items in the projection market today and offered up no pics of the screen for mobile types or the slick sounding VS400 projector to go along with the new gear. The projector is very interesting judging by its specs and packs in a lot of lumens at a budget price.

The projector musters 4,000 lumens of color and white light for presentations. That much light output should provide for a sharp picture even in bright rooms. The VS400 uses 3LCD technology and E-TORL lamp tech allowing the bulb to last 3500 hours in economy mode.

The device also has integrated closed captioning. The projector can be set up for control from a light switch in installed applications and the user doesn't have to wait for cool down before turning the projector off. Epson will ship the projector in July for $999.
