epsonpowerliteaio sgEpson has announced that the PowerLite AIO multimedia projector that it unveiled for education markets this year will be making its way into the retail market for business and home users to purchase. The all-in-one projector wraps a multimedia projector into a single chassis with speakers and a DVD player.

The device has a WXGA resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio with 2,500 lumens of color and white brightness. Epson will offer the projector at retail outlets including Best Buy, OfficeMax, Staples, and Amazon.com for $899. The integrated speakers have 10-watts of power and feature virtual surround sound technology.

Plug-and-play technology built into the projector allows set up by plugging a USB cable into the projector from the computer. Epson uses 3LCD technology in the projector to save power and provide a good picture. The device also supports presentations with no computer directly from a USB drive. Connectivity options include USB and HDMI. The projector will be in the retail outlets I mentioned later this month.
