Epson Ensemble HD Home Cinema systems get updates

Epson announced their Ensemble HD home cinema systems will be getting an update today. Specifically, the systems will now feature 3LCD projectors and receive new monikers:  the PowerLite Home Cinema 6100 and the Home Cinema 6500 UB.

Included with each system are surround sound speakers, a receiver with DVD player, a universal remote and a 100-inch screen. The speakers are actually contained within the screen and the projection mount for super easy set up.

You can get these systems as kits you can install yourself, which includes an HDMI cable, PixelWorks upconverting and more. The 6500 UB system has an HQV Reon processor, two HDMI v 1.3 inputs, an auxiliary audio input, a radio tuner and HD component video inputs. Throw range is 10-22 feet. The Ensemble HD Home Cinema System 6100 includes the PowerLite 6500 1080p projector with a 75,000:1 contrast ratio and 1,600 lumens of brightness while the entry-level model, the Ensemble HD 720 has an Epson PowerLite 720 720p HD front projector that sports a 10,000:1 contrast ratio and 1,600 lumens of brightness. The 720p model, the 6100 and the 6500 UB cost $4,999, $6,499 and $7,999, respectively.
