Epson Japan have announced a new projector in their high-spec Dreamio range.  The EH-TW4000 supports full 1080p high-definition, and uses Epson’s new D7/C2FINE LCD panel for hardly-visible pixel grids.  DeepBlack technology assures the TW4000 best-in-class contrast levels of 75,000:1.

Brightness is 1,600 lumens, and there’s an automatic iris which can flip between standard and high-speed modes depending on what you’re watching.  Input is via two HDMI 1.3a ports, while setup should be relatively straightforward thanks to the 2.1x optical zoom and four-way lens shift control.

The Epson EH-TW4000 will launch in Japan on November 28th, priced at the equivalent of around $3,700.  There’s no word on whether it will be released outside the country.
