Epson announces new PowerLite S9 projector under $500

Epson makes projectors for various uses like education, home theater, and the boardroom. The company has announced a new projector aimed the education market but suitable for anyone wanting a reasonably price projector with decent features. The new projector is called the PowerLite S9.

The S9 has SVGA resolution and 2500 lumens of color and white light output. It supports plug and play capability with both Windows and Mac computers and weighs 5.1 pounds. The plug and play capability means that a single USB connection to a PC connects the projector.

The S9 has monitor outputs and audio out ports for connecting to external devices. The device also supports closed captioning and has 1.35x digital zoom and +- 30-degree vertical keystone correction. 3LCD technology is used inside the projector for power savings and performance. The projector will ship in September.
