Enlaps unlimited time-lapse photography system runs off solar power

Time lapse photography is very cool but it can be hard to shoot due to constraints in storage capacity and battery power for the cameras used. A new time lapse photography system has debuted called Enlaps and it eliminates some of those time lapse hurdles for photographers.

The system promises unlimited battery power, no storage limit, and professional photography results. The unlimited power comes from an integrated adjustable solar cell that gives long term shooting power. As the system captures photos in the time lapse, they are uploaded directly to the cloud to eliminate storage issues.

The time lapses shot are automatically processed and can be edited and shared directly. The system has dual image sensors with a pair of Sony Exmor R sensors on each corner. If uses a pair of F2.8 wide angle lenses that each have 149-degree FOV. There is a memory card slot integrated and a battery inside to save up power for operating at night. A pro version comes with a SIM card slot and GPS along with RAW image capability.

Enlaps is on Kickstarter seeking a bit over $163,000 and has raised over $186,000 so far with three days to go. A pledge of about $468 or more will get you a standard version with $544 or more getting you a Pro version with shipping estimated for August 2016.
