If you've ever been on a long bike ride, and you realize too late that you forgot to charge your favorite MP3 player before you left, you know that it can be a pretty quiet ride the rest of the way. And if that's not what you're into, then keeping your gadgets charged while you're on the go is a main priority. Thanks to designer Filipe Lima, you can now pedal your bike and charge your gadgets at the same time, thanks to the Energysport.
The main point of the Energysport is to generate renewable energy, and for those who love to ride bikes to take advantage of it. As the image above shows, you just attach the device to the wheel of your bike, and then start pedaling. Once you start moving, the Energysport will start harnessing the kinetic energy, and convert it into usable electricity.
The explanation has it that once you finish your ride, you can remove the Energysport from your wheel, and then use the collected energy to power up your device. Obviously, for those who take long bike rides, and especially those who take part in huge bike races over long distances, could take advantage of something like this. But, if the device doesn't charge your gadget while you're riding, then it probably won't be the next gadget of choice for casual riders.
