Endomondo Sports Tracker on iPhone gets Pebble app

After endless requests, Endomondo has announced the release of a Pebble app for the Endomondo Sports Tracker on iPhone. The company promises that support for Android will be arriving this year, though when hasn't been stated.

Endomondo is hailing its offering as "the most advanced fitness tracking app for Pebble," giving users the ability to, among other things, start, stop, and pause a workout from their wrist. As you might imagine, the wearable and related app can also be used to view relevant data.

With the app, users can see up to three data metrics, depending on their preference, including things like one's heart rate, how far they've traveled, and how long they've been working out. Taking advantage of the nature of wearables, it also offers physical notifications.

Pebble will vibrate to announce when a mile or lap has been finished, and dish up a summary on performance when it does. The Pebble app is available through the Pebble store, and supports syncing with the iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, and the iPhone 5s/5c.
