Endomondo Life app brings all-day fitness tracking, context

We're all interested in fitness wearables to some degree, mostly because they offer up stats we normally wouldn't keep track of ourselves. The problem is —not everyone wants something on their wrist. Endomondo is trying to fix that for you, and is introducing their Endomondo Life app for the iPhone 5S.

The app tracks many of the stats you would want to know about, like steps taken. Along with your height and weight info you feed the app (be honest!), Endomondo Life tells you how many calories you've burned walking about.

The quick answer is that the app is simple, and that's the end of its use — tracking steps and assuming calories burned. Those metrics are fed into graphs that make tracking your progress or goals easy to do, though. The app will also feed you info on goals reached, and let you set your own pace when it comes to how many steps you want to take toward better fitness.

The app is meant solely for the iPhone 5S, though,so keep that in mind before you rush into the App Store to download it. Endomondo Life takes advantage of the M7 coprocessor int he iPhone 5S, so it won't work on older models. It will tie into Endomondo's efforts with existing wearables, though, so this might be the all-day alternative you've been seeking if a wearable just isn't doable for you at work.
