Emojicode lets you program using emoji

Programming is a very useful skill. You can use it to help create webpages, design your own apps, teach a robot how to move, and so many more things. Of course, there are so many different languages to choose from, how can you pick the one that's right for you? Well, if you speak in mostly emoji to your friends, then I might have the perfect programming language for you.

There are only so many letters in the alphabet, and even adding in numbers, you're quite limited by the number of characters available to use. Well, they say that a picture is worth a thousand words, so an emoji has to be worth at least a few letters or words. Emojicode is the newest programming language on the block, and it looks to appeal to the texting generation by replacing much of the typing with simple emoji.

That's right, a programming language designed around the use of emoji. Of course, you'll still need your boring old-fashioned letters and numbers for some things. So what exactly is Emojicode? I'll let the creators explain:

Emojicode is a delimiter-less, object orientated, imperative, high-level, hybrid language. Its language fix points and methods are emojis. Emojicode has a focus on integrating systems well, being Unicode compatible, and providing a stable and consistent interface.

The idea is a novel one, and some of the emoji definitely make sense. For instance, the cardboard box represents a "package." However, maybe I'm just getting old, but I feel like memorizing a new meaning for every emoji seems more complicated than just using your old-fashioned words.
