EA's Origin Access provides $4.99 subscription for PC games

Back in 2014, EA offered up a novel solution for gamers that want to play new games, but don't want shell out the cash for every one of them. The solution was EA Access, and was a subscription service that allowed you access to every game in The Vault for one low monthly fee. The only real downside to the service is that it has only been available to Xbox One owners.

Today, the company announced Origin Access, their solution for PC gamers. Much like their EA Access program, you'll be able to pay a set fee to have access to any games in The Vault. Unfortunately, The Vault that PC gamers have access to will only launch with 15 titles. You can see them below:

  • Battlefield 3
  • Battlefield 4: Digital Deluxe
  • Battlefield Hardline: Digital Deluxe
  • Dragon Age: Origins – Ultimate Edition
  • Dragon Age 2
  • Dragon Age: Inquisition
  • The Sims 3 Starter Pack
  • FIFA 15
  • Need for Speed Rivals: Complete Edition
  • SimCity
  • This War of Mine
  • Dead Space
  • Dead Space 2
  • Dead Space 3
  • Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare

EA has confirmed that they will be adding more games to The Vault over time, much the same way they've done for Xbox One subscribers. In addition to having access to Vault games, you will have early access to some new games, as well as a 10% discount on the purchase of full games.

Just like with the Xbox One offering, the subscription will be $4.99 per month. Unfortunately at this time there doesn't appear to be an option to pay for a full year at a discount, like Xbox One subscribers can.
