This article is sort of pointless, many PS3 owners didn’t get into the Mass effect franchise because the first game isn’t available to them, a move which microsoft is responsible for. why jump into a series 1/3rd of the way through because greedy execs want to hold on to their exclusive? It’s funny that greenberg would brag about this stat when it can be traced back to him denying the first game in the series to PS3 owners in the first place, next he’ll be saying ME1 outsold on Xbox by a 10:0 ratio.

I could imagine 4 to 1 being about right – there seemed to be more hype with ME3 being on 360 that and I got a free copy when I upgraded to a 360 250gb holiday value bundle… Of course giving away a game and counting it towards “total sales” is akin to saying Miller Light is the best selling beer because every McD’s gave a ML with every combo meal..

I’m so glad I only began to be interested in Mass Effect a few weeks before its release, then waited for the first player reviews.

That way, I managed to save 150$ +++ by not buying any of the games or any DLC.

Seriously, after all the negative publicity, who still buys this game anymore?

I’ve noticed a lot of articles like this one on the web. If you only pay attention to the titles, it looks like the game is doing fantastic, while, in reality, it’s not doing good at all.

It’s called propaganda, so watch yourselves, people.

Your right it has noting to do with the fact that it originated on xbox but that ps3 gamers have a telepathic ability to see the endings of games before they buy them. If only everyone one was as intelligent as you.

Yes completely true. I’d also like to add that Mass Effect is unique in the sense that you can transfer your character from one game to the next, increasing the incentive further to stick with whatever you started on, which is–more often than not–going to be the Xbox or PC.

This is kind of a dumb article. This is like stating that PS3 version of Dark Souls is outselling the XBox360 version by almost double (last I checked anyway). That is a game that has more of an underground following too. The Xbox has a larger fanbase for the series because it originated on the Xbox. I realize this point was made in the article, but that is why an article like this is kind of crap to write. What is even the point of the article?
