DxO OpticsPro adds one-click editing to Apple Photos

As a photographer, one of the hardest parts about taking pictures doesn't happen while I have my camera out. Instead, I spend more time filtering through my shots to find the best ones, and of course, editing them. Many people don't want to spend any more time than necessary editing their photos, which is why DxO has released a new set of extensions for OS X Photos.

In this day and age, people want instant results. And while there's no way to make pictures look perfect when you snap them, DxO wants to make editing almost instant. Their new DxO OpticsPro for OS X Photos offers up a new interface for Apple Photos that gives you a host of one-click editing tools.

The first thing that the OpitcsPro interface does is identifies exactly what camera and lens that you used to shoot with. Then it instantly corrects various aspects of the photo based on that knowledge. You'll then be able to make further adjustments like Smart Lighting(improves overall dynamic range), ClearView (instantly removes haze and smog from distant landscapes), white balance and more, with just a single click.

If you're wanting to quickly and easily improve your photos, then you can download DxO OpticsPro for OS X Photos from the Mac App store for $9.99. That's an introductory price, so it will go up to $19.99 in the future. DxO ONE owners can also download a free version that's dubbed DxO OpticsPro for OS X Photos – DxO ONE Camera Only. As the name implies, this version only works on shots taken by the DxO ONE camera.
