If you’re looking forward to DirectX 10 in a laptop, look no further than thee new GeForce 8M GPUs announced today by NVIDIA.

Geforce 8600M

The first round of the new 8M chips to be released include the GeForce 8600M and 8400M. The new chips will allow you to play DX 10 games and enjoy better HD video playback than was possible before. The new chips boast double the performance of existing mobile GPUs.

Look for notebooks available with these new 8M chips from manufacturers such as HP, Toshiba, Acer, Samsung and Asus.
