They should have stuck with TI OMAP processors for the Droid X series, instead of going to the Tegra 2. I feel that there’s no real reason to upgrade, the performance increase is rather slight overall, IMHO. Tegra 2 is barely comparable to the OMAP or Qualcomm offerings at this point, even graphics wise. Yes, NVidia’s graphics in the Tegra 2 are really good, but if you combine it with a mediocre processor, you still have a mediocre SoC. Maybe with Tegra 3 they won’t mess up the CPU side of things….

to have a power packed action from the droid 3. However, the device not being a
part of Verizon’s LTE network that is known to the world for its blazing fast
speeds and with a more than expected results of 5-10 Mbps on the downlink side
and between 2 and 5 Mbps on the uplink side.
